What's your Marketing Strategy?
|
|
Are you advertising in your local
newspaper, magazines or the radio? Do you know which marketing outlet
is best for your business? Below are some statics that show which
marketing outlets are on the rise and which are dropping off the radar.
This year, traditional advertising
is in a decline. According to a Nielsen Monitor-Plus report newspaper
advertising is down 7.3% locally and 8.1% nationally, T.V. commercials
are down 6%, spot radio ads are down 10.1% . Meanwhile the New York
times reports that a growth in digital advertising is expected for the
upcoming years. Mobile ads will go up 18.1% and Internet ads will rise
9.2%. In 1998 google averaged 10,000 searches per day, and a research
group comScore estimates that Google hosted 235 million searches a day
in July of 2008!
Will print media ever completely go away? The short answer is no.
People will always subscribe to and read the local newspapers as well
as magazines, but most of those also have a web site with their latest
updates right there for you to read. You should at the very least have
some sort of plan for a web site in the near future, because we are in
the digital age.

Tecchies at the Bottom - 2G & 3G
Network! What's the Difference?
|
| What is all
this you hear about 2G, 3G and 4G? Wanna know the difference? Well, G
networks are considered to be the first analog cellular systems, which
were created in the early 1980s. When a call is made on 2G, a line is
held open for that conversation throughout the duration of the call.
With 3G networks, the data being sent is divided up into little packets
which are reassembled in the proper order at the receiving end. This
smart encoding increases the maximum quantity of data that can be sent
as well as the efficiency in sending it.
The term 3G refers to the" third generation" of wireless communications
technology, the "first generation" having been analog cellular, and the
"second generation" being today's existing GSM/GPRS networks. 3G aims
to provide universal high-speed, high bandwidth support to bandwidth
hungry applications such as full motion videos, video calling and full
Internet access. So 3G really is better!
