Techies on the Side
Here are some tips and tricks to using Google more efficiently:
Google Site Search- Use Google to search within a site for content. Say you want to search within dscTech's web site for SNMP, just enter in the Google search box - 'site:www.dsctech.net "SNMP" '. Google Define-Want to search for the definition of a word? Let's say you want to know what SNMP stands for, just type into the Google search box - 'define SNMP'. Google Number Range Search-If you ever need to find a specific item within a set price range, Google can help you. The key is the two periods between the numbers. For example, if you were looking for a new iPhone but do not want to spend more than $200 for it, type into the search box - 'iPhone $100..$200'. You will only get results for that price range.
Google Currency Conversion-Just type into the search box the amount, the type of currency "in", and the type of currency you want to convert it to. For example, you found a great product but the price is 150 Euros. In the search box, type - '150Euros in USD'. |
