Unwanted Programs
All computers gather more and more unwanted programs over time. To get rid of unwanted RAM hogs, you need to make sure you know exactly what you do and do not use. Look through your All Programs folder in your Start Menu. If there are any programs you just do not need, then get rid of them. The easiest way to remove them is to go to the Control Panel and select Add/Remove
Programs. Once all of your programs appear, click on the Uninstall button beside any that you do not need. The best practice is to look up exactly what each program does to find out if it is critical to your computer. If you are unsure about what programs are needed, please feel free to email me at mandi@dsctech.net

SNMP ToolsSNMP Explorer

dscTech's RLJL MasterClient v5 has many useful Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) tools that can help you manage your network. Two of which are the SNMP Explorer and the SNMP Poller. SNMP Traps are sent out from an agent whenever there is a change in the agent's status. Being aware of these status changes is a crucial part of managing a network.

The SNMP Poller provides a graphical representation of the agents within the network as well as the status of each one. It polls Object Identifiers (OIDs) of the agent for information and allows you to test the results returned. If the results do not pass, then the SNMP Poller will report that the agent is down.
The SNMP Explorer is a powerful tool that has the ability to report network equipment configured to deliver SNMP messages throughout a network, regardless of the network size or equipment diversifications. It can be used to probe your network and return information about all SNMP devices that you have access to. This tool is helpful in understanding and monitoring your network and its SNMP devices.

The RLJL MasterClient has these and many more tools that help keep your network healthy and secure.  For more information, please visit our web site at www.dsctech.net
