Irrigation systems are essential to agricultural production.  Automated irrigation systems can be monitored by the ASN, letting you know when, how often and how much watering your farm is using as well as how productive each sprinkler is.  Sensors and actuators can communicate within the network giving engineers ideas to improve the irrigation systems.

 

Chicken farmers can also benefit from the ASN by monitoring the temperature in the chicken houses. If it gets too warm, the ASN enables the fans to turn on and the shades to lower. If it gets too cool, the ASN can turn the heater on.
